Terms of Service
Effective 16 October 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Task2 (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is provided by iCentric Systems Ltd, trading as Harbour SW Developments ("we", "us", "Task2").
2. Your account and the people on it
Anyone can buy Task2, whether that is a company, a partnership, or one person working on their own. Whoever creates the account holds the subscription, and anyone they add as an Administrator can manage it.
Administrators create accounts for the people they work with, and those accounts are active immediately. You are responsible for who you add, for what they do under your account, and for removing people who leave. You are also responsible for keeping your own credentials safe, and for telling us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
3. Subscription and billing
There is one plan. It costs £150 per account per month and includes 5 people. Each additional active person costs £4.50 per month. There is no free version.
The number of people is taken from the active people on your account. Adding somebody above the fifth is charged for the remainder of that month only, and deactivating somebody credits the remainder back. You do not need to tell us about either.
The first fifteen days are free. A payment card is collected when you subscribe but is not charged until day sixteen, and cancelling before then means nothing is charged at all. Payments are taken monthly by our payment processor, Stripe, until you cancel. We will give existing subscribers at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
Cancelling is self-service from the Subscription page and takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund unused parts of a paid period except where required by law.
If a payment fails, the Service keeps working in full for seven days and we email every Administrator on your account during that period. On the eighth day the board, the task list and the mobile app stop working until payment succeeds. Everyone can still sign in, an Administrator can still reach the Subscription page to pay, and nothing is deleted. Paying at any point restores access.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Task2 to break the law, infringe others' rights, store content you do not have the right to store, or interfere with the operation of the Service, including by reverse engineering, scraping at unreasonable volumes, or attempting to bypass billing. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
5. Your content and data
You retain ownership of everything you put into Task2: tasks and their detail, the notes recorded when work is finished or passed on, photographs attached to a task, and your activity history. You grant us the permissions needed to store it and display it back to you and to the other people on your account. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.
Task2 keeps a history on purpose. People are deactivated rather than deleted so their name still resolves on the work they did, and completed tasks are archived rather than removed. If you need data erased rather than archived, see section 8.
6. Intellectual property
The Task2 software, brand, design and documentation are owned by iCentric Systems Ltd and protected by copyright and trademark law. These Terms do not transfer any of that to you; they only let you use the Service.
7. Liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
Task2 records what people say they have done. It is not an inspection, safety, compliance or certification system, and it does not verify that any task was actually carried out or carried out properly. Where a job has to be evidenced for a regulator, an insurer or a client, keep the record that body requires. Do not rely on Task2 as the only record of anything safety-critical.
8. Ending your subscription and closing your account
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Subscription page, which stops further payments at the end of the period you have paid for. Cancelling does not delete anything: your tasks and history remain, and if you subscribe again later they are where you left them.
To have your account's data deleted rather than kept, email support@icentricsystems.com from an Administrator's address. We will delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep certain records, such as billing and tax records, to meet legal obligations.
We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms, or where we are required to do so by law.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be flagged in the app or by email; the "Effective" date at the top of this page tracks the current version.
10. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
